Builders had 251,000 houses on the market last month, the fewest since November 1982. It would take 7.5 months to sell all homes at the current sales pace, the same as in August.

Eh, già, il dato accuratamente reso brillante oggi con un bel po’ di maquillage del GDP ha oscurato il pessimo New Home Sales di ieri : -3.6% ad un ritmo annuale di 402k, e le attese erano per ben 440k.
Inoltre, rispetto al Settembre 2008 – quindi in un solo anno – il prezzo medio di vendita di una abitazione è sceso del 9.8%.
Come ha fatto notare nei giorni scorsi Bill Gross, dobbiamo aspettarci molte altre sorprese negative, almeno l’amministrazione USA – cioè la FED – si renderà conto che se non si cerca di aiutare la real economy non si potrà mai parlare di vera e propria ripresa.
